Master Scholarships in International Development Programmes, University of Manchester, UK

The Institute for Development Policy & Management, (IDPM).

Two Bursaries are available for Home and Overseas applicants to the following Development Master's programmes:

Deadline for applications for Master's Bursaries Friday 29th May 2009.

Each bursary will be for the value of £2,500 and will be paid against a student’s fee at enrolment. The awards are open to Home and Overseas students and will be awarded on academic merit. Applicants who wish to be considered for this award should submit a covering letter outlining their reasons for pursuing their chosen programme and future career aspirations. Applicants should also list any personal or professional experience that they feel is relevant to their chosen Master’s programme and/ or Development studies in general. Applicants must have submitted a formal application for their chosen Master’s degree before the closing date of 29th May. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the awards.

Scholarships for Female Students from Developing Countries, The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF)

The MMMF was established in 1981 to honor the late Margaret McNamara and her commitment to the wellbeing of women and children in developing countries. The purpose of the grant is to support the education of women from developing countries who are committed to improving the lives of women and children in their home countries. Previous grant recipients studied agriculture, architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, education, forestry, journalism, nursing, nutrition, pediatrics, public administration, public health, social sciences, and social work.

Applications can only be submitted by accessing our website at www.mmmf-grants.org and completing the online application form.
